    As above?

I know they are problematic (just like the RS6 box - utter plonker designed that...) I just want to know if anyone can recommend any preventative maintenance??

Mate is having trouble with his (2.5tdi) and I'd like to avoid any pitfalls if I can...

    What do Audi say?

What is possible? Oil and filter and thats it??

Well the MultiTronic oil change every 40k is a must. Other than that, nothing else you can do really, ECU failures tend to be common and can happen anytime without any regard for how you drive.

Mine's being done at the next service which is about 34k miles from the box being replaced....early enough that if there are any issues Audi can sub me another box.... :-)
