    Hi,

Im looking for some real life experiences with the car kits above and if anyone can recommend one over the other?

I am leaning towards the CC9060 but heard some issues with reliability.

I dont need anything flash, it just needs to work well with my iPhone and Nokia.

    Thanks

    Gavin

    Hi,

Well I went with the Bury CC9060 and my initial thoughts is that its an amazing car kit. The voice response \ recognition is way better than i'd hoped and the clarity of calls is great.

The CC9060 comes with a small circular dome and sticker pads which for me I couldn't see where it would go in my 2006 A4 Avant so it didnt block any of the air vents etc so I purchased a Audi specific mount (71266) from dashmount.co.uk which the Bury stuck to quite nicely.

Also, Bury recently upgraded the software so that you can pair and have connected more than one device at a time also what they call Magic Word where you dont need to even touch the Bury to activate voice control or navigate its menus.

    Thanks

    Gavin

    Hi Gavin,

I had the CC9060 in my last car - before that, I was using a MKi9200. I also had a CK3200LS in a previous car.

I got sick of the issues that kept cropping up with the Parrot, which is why I changed. I did like the CC9060 more than the Mki, but I felt it was not as good as it could have been.

Main issues I had were that voice recognition was great sometimes, and not so great other times - maybe that's to do with the New Zealand accent! Also, I had the music interface kit installed, so I could use the music on my iPhone via Bluetooth. That was great, but every so often you would get a little skip in the music - I guess the A2DP streaming over bluetooth was having issues keeping up.

Then, just before I traded the car, the music started getting staic, like it was going off station. Didn't get to the bottom of that, as I traded the car instead!

All in all, I found the Bury better than the Parrot. Although it did have the odd issue, they can't have upset me too much, as I just ordered the RC9060 for my new car - basically the same as the CC9060, but without the screen. I found I didn't need the screen with the last kit, and I don't want to add any clutter to my dash. I have also decided to forget about using the Bury for music, and will fir a Gateway 500 later this year instead.

I realise all this is a bit late for you now that you have your kit, but it may help someone else in the future.
