From memory getting the stalk cluster off is fairly straightforward. Temporarily disable airbag (if fitted), remove steering wheel and remove two screws securing upper and lower column shroud. This should expose the stalk assembly and I think they are clamped around the column using a pair of M5 dome deaded allen screws on the underside. Slacken screws, disconnect eletrical connections and slide off column. I think the stalk assembly consists of two cross bolted plates to which the separate switches (wiper, indicator and lights) are mounted on, this is where it gets a bit fiddly unless you have a complete unit to replace rather than just an individual switch. Just make sure you get the correct part and you should be alright.

Oh and please don't blame me if you knacker it and it doesn't work.
