    hi,

my 16v gti cuts out when i put the clutch down to come to a stop this doesn't usually start happening until the oil temp reaches 70'c, the revs dip and the oil and battery lights flicker then it dies it always restarts first turn of the key have been told this could be a temp sensor? there are many things i think it could be isv or a gasket or hose perhaps other than this the car drives perfectly thru the whole rev range never misfires so i dont think timing is an issue.
have also been told that because i dont drive the car much (only 6ooo miles in 2.5 years) it could be something in the throttle body
    Please help any suggestions???
    many thanks

check the throttle body to see if clean
    remove idle screw and clean
when you set up idle disconnect the inline terminal next to coil and set to1050rpm
    this should cure
if not clean out idle stabilization valve with carb cleaner once cleaned connect and switch ignition on and spray again with it not on car
if still not right check throttle switches and idle stabilization ecu in centre console
