Mk4 Auto

Whats happnin' peeps. Just joined the forum. I hope everyone is cool! Just wanted to ask about a few problems. Has anyone experienced any grief with an auto gear box on mk4 V5. If I put my foot down from a standing start it seems to jolt into second gear. Doin my nut!!!
Also does anyone have problem with the door seals on the mk4. This is the 2nd one I've had and they both seem to leave water around the door-shuts when it rains or gets washed.

Would appreciate any info.

Could the 2nd gear thing be something to do with the computer thinking by you flooring it that there is not much point in using 1st gear?

Cheers for the welcome and the info. I've taken it into VW to get it checked out today. Not expecting much from them though to be honest.

Cheers. I got a report back from VW. It turns out the gearbox needs changing. This is the second car that this has happened to me on and I have only had this one for 2weeks . The good thing is that it is under warranty so as far as I am aware, I won't have to foot the bill . Since the last problem on my 1.6 auto I have been sceptical with autos. I have to wait now for it to be inspected again to see if the work will be carried out under the warranty.
