I have a Skoda Fabia 1300 x reg. I have just had to have the cat changed. Also the light for the airbag is on all the time, the garage said it would cost about £700 to replace the modular (think that's what he called it) I cannot afford that. Another problem is the car is pulling badly would this be connected to the air bag problem/catalytic or is it something else?

The airbag light won't cause your steering to pull, it usually due to incorrect trye inflation, incorrect steering alignment (Tracking), worn suspension parts, particulary the suspension bushes.

We can narrow it down a little if you say when it is happening, while acellerating or braking etc.

Thanks Onzarob. I didn't make myself very clear. I meant it has no power. We had the cat changed because of a horrible rotten egg smell, it still did it next day after it had been changed and we found that the battery was giving off fumes. So we think we may of not needed the cat changing after all. We are getting the alternator checked out tonight incase that was the problem with the battery.

If your down on power it could be the MAF (mass airflow meter) or the timing/plugs/airfilter oxygen sensor(lambda probe)

Thanks, My brother-in-law tested the battery and said the car would need a alternator regulator. So it's back off to the garage.
