Just bought a gt tdi 69000 miles 04 plate
On throttle off you can see the clutch pedal move up
and on throttle moves down slightly
WHen you put it into reverse or first gear to park, it is occasionaly difficult to get it out of gear.
If you are still rolling you can do it no problem , but at stand still can be difficult.
I was thinking worn engine mount, and the engine is moving ?
    what do you guys think.
It has had a clutch and flywheel replaced recently.

do you know if the slave cylinder was replaced at the same time? also do you know if it was an after market clutch and flywheel that was fitted?

it could do, does the clutch pedal feel normal or is there more free play than there should be? i always change the slave as a matter of course cos the box is out, yes it may add a few pound to the bill but it saves having to take the box out again if it leaks or gives problems

Take that back to whoever did the clutch, clutch pedal should not be moving on its own!,the selector cables might need adjusting, that could explain the stiff gears.

Checked the engine mounts today and they look good, I was thinking maybe selector cables, but that doesnt explain the clutch pedal movement.
