Any Audi specialists/Indies near Newcastle?

Volkscentre in Blyth maybe? ( tel no. 01670 353131), good with the older models and the oily bits on the newer stuff. Proper old fashioned mechanics with dirty overalls . Got a bit negative with me when I tried to show him a fault on a vagcom printout though, he told me he could not fix it and to take it to an autoelectrician which surprised me a bit - it was only a duff glowplug that I fixed myself in the end !. I got the impression that he did not like me telling him the diagnosis.
Chatting to his receptionist on one occasion she mentioned that the boss "cant stand these forum nerds coming in here thinking they know everything". I cant fault his spannering though and he is not a rip-off merchant. I do not hesitate to recommend him.

In the end I've booked in with Volkscentre (to change a Cambelt and Tensioner). They're very local, prices seem competitive and they were helpful on the phone.
