Help!!! No reverse lights

hi everyone my first post on here but i have been a member for a while now! in desparate need of some help i am pulling my hair out!!! i have an a4 avant with mysterious issue simply its the reverse lights not working but i just cant find the fault the fuse is fine also the bulbs are ok i think the switch is working on the gearbox as when i put a meater on the fuse connections and select reverse it goes from nothing to around 7 volts? but when i put the meater on the cluster connections it remains at 0!! any help would be very much apreciated as my mot is on the horison!!

A continuity test from the switch to the lamp units would tell you if the power is getting lost between the two

cant help with problem but reverse lights are not tested or required for an mot

Thanks I will give it a try and see what happens!!! And out of interest is the switch the one above the near side drive shaft? ;] kev

Sorry for the thread revival but should my 2003 A4 Avant have one or two reverse lights?
