Hi all Im new on here so bear with me
Ive just purchased an 2003 golf gt tdi 130 and what a hell of a car it is. Anyway I was given some 18" alloy wheels with it but I dont know what wheels they are. As the previous owner hit a kerb with the golf one of the wheels was damaged hence the need for me to find out who makes them and if they are still even made.
Thanks in advance for any help

    Kind Regards.........carl

yeah cheers guys im in two minds what to do with the wheels at the moment. I think the handling could do with a bit of tweeking but dont want to ruin the ride of it. Also It has quite heavy steering so I dont know if putting bigger wheels on it would make it worse

    thankyou

I've got the R32 18's on my GT TDI 150 and they look amazing but do make the ride more harsh. It also feels heavier on the steering due to the size of the tyre needed, which also puts extra strain on the steering mechanisms. Inner track rod ends spring to mind, as mine need replacing :S

I bought my golf with them on, so can't really say to be honest. But from friends who have had similar golfs in the past, they've all said they were quite heavy on the front end. The wider tyres and bigger wheels makes it more noticeable I think.
