    I've got a 2001 A4 1.8T sport B6 variant, saloon.

It's got 70k on the clock has been very well looked after by previous owener and so far by myself.
I believe this one has 163bhp, i want to have it remapped to up the bhp and also to get the benefits of making acceleration, power delivery and fuel consumption better.
I livwe in London and work in Slough, can anyone reccomend best place to get this done and also what the costs would be for this procedure?

    Thanks

not sure if i'm allowed to ask this kind of question but if it gets deleted than i'm sorry it was a genuine mistake.

anybody heard of or used www.perfect-touch.co.uk

i spoke to one of the guys there today and he was very very helpful and seemed very genuine plus costs were reasonable.
anybody actually had any experience with them with audis.
in particular ecu mapping of A4 1.8T sport B6

    thanks

I don't think there is such an answer, as remapping is generally a personal thing. I guess it depends on how you like your car to drive and which tuning style suits you best.

We offer progressive smooth remaps whereas other tuners may offer a more aggressive style.

    fair play shark.
i guess that is true, i generally try and drive smooth and effeciantly 80% of the time
but the other times and when i wanna enjoy my car and posibly overtake i like to feel the power of my car, so thats the reason i wanna do a remap to get the best out of engine and car.
by the way shark i have heard only good thins about your remaps!
shame you're not near west london or slough.

It comes with your performance map and an immobilisation map, and it also stores a copy of your original map. The damage on your car is £419.10 for your car including the VWAF discount

    Hi,

I have just had my 18.T cabrio remapped and the difference isnt explosive but it certainly now has far more power (40 Bhp). Reaching high speeds certainly seems to happen far quicker and the increase of torque (70Nm) really can be felt as I dont have to change down so often or rev the enging to get the car going.

I'm pleased it was not a wild remap as I still feel confident that the rest of the engine / gearbox is not going to be stressed to much. MPG....well I didnt expect it to be any better but it is ! Always averaged 28.5ish now since remap it doesnt often drop below 31 !! Not much difference I know but still an improvment. I think it must be that I'm not reving it s much and keeping in the higher gears.

    Anyway, really pleased.

Evolution Chips in blackpool provided the remap (and yes they do take your own and mod it) Cost £300. Perfect.
