Hi all im sorta new on here but anyway im will and i am in the next coming week buying a vw bora se 110ps tdi, its a really nice car with full service history, 140k on clock, 12 months mot for reasurance, went and had a look and a run in it yesturday and apon opening the bonnet it seems to have a tuning box of some description which defonatly makes it faster (even faster than my dad's a4 130ps) should have some pics of her by thursday when i go to pick her up, with all the above in mind would you say the price of 2.6k is good?? Many thanks for any help and any advice on anything i should look out for when i pick it up is much appricated.

I think you'll find it's an AHF engine code, I have one on a T plate that has just clocked 200k miles and is going strong, you'll have to keep an eye on the A arms they wear quite a bit if driven hard, I've had mine remapped to a 150bhp and it will take a 320D bmw no problem. the map I had done gives turbo boost from start to finnish and the torque will easily spin the wheels in 2nd, they are bullet proof if you drive them right and treat them right, if it's really clean then its worth the money.........Enjoy

yeh mines got a tuning box which isnt one of those cheap ones you find on ebay, its very very punchy and spins the wheels in 3rd as well, it seems a very good car and the fuel consumption is brilliant (coming from a volvo t5 doing 17mpg anything is better), im certainly looking forward to owning it and its going through an mot and service before i pick it up so the a bars should be picked up if they gone, also just had its cambelts done too which is a weight off my shoulder
