Just noticed the other day when i started my car (51 1.8t)it was juddering alot and the rev needle was shaking when i was parked up in neutral.

It feels like its about to cut out but if i rev it it stays alive...however thought id see what'd happen if i didnt rev it and eventually it cut out.

The follwing day was doing the same thing and engine managment light came on.

Anyone got any ideas/experiences with this? Really hope its not expensve whatever it is.

    Thanks

I also have this. Only had it cut out once and it was very hard to get started again.

When idle, it will sit around 800 rpm and then shake about 100rpm on either side and occassional judders. Could be normal but I suspect it isnt?
