Now this is becoming more of a mission for me now!

Hope someone can help me with a slightly lumpy idle I have.

To date I've filly removed & cleaned the TB,aligned it with vagcom changed the plugs and leads, the oxygen sensor and changed the MAF,coil pack ..I cant detect any obvious air leaks form any vacuum pipes....

Doing this did make a difference but I'm still left with a slight 'wobble' after every few seconds that I would like to get ironed out..but nothing registers on the rev counter.

I have ahd it fully Vagcom'd and theres no codes.
I've run out of ideas now!Any ideas on where I could go from here..?

Its a 2000/W Bora 2.0 SE Auto by the way

    Thanks as usual

    Pete

    Hi pete,
don't know if this will help but had a similar problem on a 1.4 petrol golf. Turned out to be a very small blow on the exhaust just after the Cat box. It was affecting the Lambda sensor just after it so the car thought there was too much oxygen and pumped in more fuel. Made it run lumpy on tick over and the emmisions were off the scale.
Hope this helps and all the best in finding a cure.

Does your model have a dual mass flywheel? I've had a lumpy idle on my Golf PD 150 for a while and couldn't figure out what was causing it, until the other day I noticed the wobble went away when I pressed my clutch in (in neutral). I think this maybe early signs of DMF failure. It's worth checking on yours also.
