    well lads, thinking of getting new wheels for the passat as theres just standard 15's on it, just wondering (as im looking at a set), would 225/40/18's be ok on it, as in will they fit ok and not be rubbing the arches or anything like that?? the car is standard height aswell by the way...

    i have 225's on mine without issue . what you gain in wheel you lose on tyre ,so ending up with the same rolling radius as you had with 15's fitted,

    ah thats good then and theres no issue with the wider tyres no?
