    Hi Guys

I have a small problem with my Audi A3 2.0 TDi 2004 mileage is 82000. When engine is cold car is starting without any problem, but then engine is worm it take about 2-4 second to start and then black smoke coming out from the exhaust. My mechanic connected it to computer and said there are no errors and he doesn't know what it may be. Could you please help me with this, maybe one of you already had problem like this.

    Thanks

check the fuel pressure (warm engine cranking) and this will probably show a drop and therefore point to the injector or the seals.
Also check there is no excess oil in the fuel filter housing, if there is then replace the tandem pump, clean the tank and lift pump and flush out the fuel lines.

Many forum threads about this problem point to starter motor needing replacing.

Starter motor needs replacing, exact same fault on mine. Wasted money changing sensors and stuff.

Its not always the starter so ensure you check cranking rpm speed and also check the fuel pressure to localise the problem.
