  1. Xenon Headlamp Pt No?

Trying to work out if the Part Number for the Xenon Headlamp Unit is different for "Adaptive" or "Non-Adaptive" lights.

eg. Headlamp Unit-Xenon-Adaptive RHD (UK conformity) has a Part Number of 8K0-941-029H (or 030H).

What is the Part Number fitted to vehicles from the Uk that are Xenon but Non-Adaptive?

My car came with these parts fitted to comply with UK homoglation (car was LHD but supplied by AUDI UK) and as they are know longer needed I would like to sell them on. But I am confused as to the fact wether there are differing Pt No for adaptive as opposed to non-adaptive.

The ones currently fitted (the originals fitted at the factory) are LHD and have pt no 8K0-941-003G & 004G.

A very expensive part at €500 each but completely useless in the UK. Left hand traffic only.

Like I say Crasher, I am trying to almost give my lights away, as they are no longer required, (I am talking about the Right Hand Headlamp Units).

Thing is it is not easy to sell something that you have very little information on, and I do not want to ******** any potential buyer by giving "duff gen".

Seems that UK Spec (Right Hand Drive) Bi-Xenon Headlamp Units have a part number off 8K0-941-029 D & 030 D.

Uk Spec (Right Hand Drive) Bi-Xenon Headlamp Units WITH ADAPTIVE Function have a part number off 8K0-941-029 H & 030 H.

    Unless Someone knows Something Different!!?

Yes, Bi- Xenon (PR-8BP+8Q3 and AFS Xenon (PR-8BP+8Q5) then LHD is PR-AV1, RHD is PR-AV0, lights are different, the part numbers you quote are correct-there are a lot of different A4 headlights. I think the only market for your old lights would be a continental fleaBay site for someone who has front ended a car with the adaptive Xenon’s and needs a pair for repairs. I think retro fitting them to a car fitted with conventional lights or even non-adaptive Xenon’s would be a lot of work.

Cheers Crasher , lots of good info there.

My spare lights are UK lights, and I would not have thought upgrading from normal Xenons to Adaptive would not be that hard? (EXPENSIVE!!?!! YES).

After all, apart from the headlight units themselves! (theoretically you could offset the cost by selling the old ones after buying my surplus ones for 200 poonds), surely it is just the control unit which fits under the headlamp unit and the VCDS stuff? (after all it is only a 250(ish) poond option when new).
