ToMBoy C - it looks great. My last Passat B6 Sport was black and it did look the business when polished up, especially with the tinted rear windows (you must get around to doing it). I washed mine every week throughout the three years and 146k miles I had it. Only problem is as you say when it rains one short drive and it looks like it's never been cleaned for a week. I'm sure one of those high pressure hoses on the vehicles in the garage behind your car will sort that though.
I got a new 2010 Passat earlier this year in Reflex Silver, and I've only washed it once as silver does stay looking cleaner, but doesn't look as good as black when polished - not that you can tell if its been polished or not.

Shame on you Quatrelle - I know over in France when you refer to Le Mer you think 'The Sea', but think Mer car polish .

I bought some Mer about 25 years ago and I've still got some of it left. I last used some to shine my bike. It is good stuff though. The Passat comes up nicely with just a shampoo and set.

If we are comparing shiny polished black Passat Sports . . .. here is mine:

I only got it 2 weeks back so thought I'd build on the dealer polishing. USing Mer Alloy wheel polish and Autoglym on the paintwork.

Anyone used the Autoglym Ultra deep Shine or gloss protectant? I want to get the car sorted before my interest wains . . . .
