I'm looking at buying an S6, however I would like to know how many miles per tank people get with the v8 engine. I am aware it won't be diesel economy, but then again my diesel car has a really crap mpg on anything but straight A roads.
    Cheers

18 mpg on mixed driving (mainly journeys of 10 miles each way, with some stop start at junctions, traffic lights, etc)

On a motorway run though, you can easily get 30+ mpg, as the egine revs at only 2.5k even when doing 90mph.

Also you are recommended by Audi to only use super unleaded to get the best performance, so whilst you can of course use unleaded, you always feel obliged to pay the extra for premium.
