    yes i,m sorry to disapoint but the new tdi has a fault on the flywheel,syptoms are juddering when taking foot off the accelerater and then re applying.it kind of feels like its missfireing. the problem is so severe and wide spread that there are no flywheels left,they cant make them fast enough. hence mine has been back in the retailer fo 5 weeks now with no date of the part delivery in sight. i've rung VW uk so many times i've lost count,they cant even return calls.i have even wrote to the UK MD Mr P Willis to no avail. they could'nt give a dam. anyway you learn by your mistakes,i have.DONT BUY A VOLKSWAGON.

    thanks for your reply. i,ve been to see the manager today and he says he has 4 cars in with the same problem in just the 1 retailer.1 of them is an 07 passat.i told him if its not sorted by next week they can buy it back for £13,000 and i;ll never touch a vw product again.

    Interesting sorry your not able to see service fix this I had same problem 2 months ealier. had it 4 seperate visits before it was identified. but fine since new complete clutch and flywheel fitted. Fixed a host of other non faults first.
