    Hi everyone

I wonder if anyone can throw any light on some strange goings on. I have 2005 1.9Tdi 105 and recently I had a MAF fault come up on diagnostics (16485/P0101 MAF Implausible signal) together with some glow plug electrical faults which we've know about for some time (it hadn't been causing any dash lights to come on before the MAF problem) and I had bad running problems with juddering. Anyway, my specialist mechanic swapped the MAF for a new one and they symptoms have completely cleared and the car drives like a dream again, but the same MAF code keeps putting the light back on even though i keep getting the fault codes cleared??!!

Without waffling on and on could the glow plugs need changing and any ideas on why the MAF fault wont clear even though changing the MAF sensor cured my running problems???

Somebody help its driving me nuts!!!

    An update

The only fault code I have repeatedly have now is the 16485/P0101 MAF Impausible Signal now (after new glow plugs) but it just never seems to go away. A new bosch MAF sensor has been installed, all hoses and air intake been checked for leaks, the car runs like new without any faults but the emissions workshop light keeps reoccuring. I think it baffling my mechanic now!

Somebody must have experienced this before and be able to help. Please everyone, i'm starting to mad now

    Any ideas???

I seem to be having a similar problem, after having a new EGR valve fitted and and an MOT the emission light came on, Audi diagnostic said glow plugs on cylinders 1 and 3 need replacing, I did this myself at a much reduced cost had the emission light sorted and reset but after a couple of day of reseting the light comes back on this has happened twice now!
I've been told it could be a new wiring loom to the plugs needs replacing or could be the ECU!
Not sure if this is any help?
I am now starting to dislike German engineering as this is my second Audi and both have been nothing but trouble!!!

Cheers Clint thats interesting that you had the same faults. Which fault code is putting your light back on now? Is it the same as mine (P0101/16485) or still a problem with the glow plugs?

Anyone else throw any light on this???
