    Hi All,

Hope you can help. Having problems with my Leon (1.6 SX 04 Plate) Starting, its completely intermittant but seems to be happening more and more in the rain.

Want to check the Distributor cap to ensure there is no moisture or anything in there but... I cant find it !

Can anyone help? Where abouts is it, ive got the engine cover off but just cant find it!

    Thanks in advance,

    Craig

I doubt it has a distributor on it mate its most likely your coolant temp sensor but you need to do a diagnostic scan to confim this

    Thanks for the reply matta4

Would a temp sensor only be affected in the rain / after a rain shower? Seems to start fine after a dry spell?

    Thanks,

    Craig

your best bet would be to get a diagnostic scan on it to confirm your fault about 80% of starting problems we see on modern vag cars are the coolant temp sensor had a 53 leon 1.4 that ran rough randomly and it was the cts at fault. It may not be this at fault but a scan will point you in the right direction and should be first job with modern engines really
