Don’t buy on online dip stick guide tubes, they don’t fit and cost more (inc. postage) than from a dealer.

How do these fit-I have alot of oil at base of dipstick and am wondering if it is from this or from the gasket between oil filter housing to block??

Anybody had a leak in this area-the oil also seems to be spraying along block nearly as far as directly under oil feed to turbo union bolt which made me think this was leaking but all dry around bolt.

    Guys,
Could you tell me how to go about fitting a dipstick guide tube-and removing the old one-think this may be the cause of my oil leak??

    many thanks,
    Mike

Getting the bits of the old one out is awkward, I use a pick and a vacuum cleaner as you don’t want the bits in the sump. Fitting a new genuine unit is just a case of pushing it on an a quick bit of force to seat it, ter is no O ring or seal on the metal tube or plastic guide.
