    This is my first post.
    I live in Canada and I own a 03 Audi A4 1.8T
I just discovered this morning that someone has broken my passenger side wiper arm right off! almost down to the joint.
Just wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this crap, and what the damage is gonna run me as far as cost. ???

Hopefully someone can help me out.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your help Matta4.
I appreciate the response. Ya I'm just hoping it won't cost me much over $100.
I have to replace my timing belt in 5K and that's gonna run me around $1000.
Just bad timing that's all. **** happens!

$1000 for a timing belt on a 1.8 turbo seems a bit high is that with the waterpump too if not get it replaced too i would think the parts should be around $300 and about 3 hrs labour for timing belt kit and water pump.I suppose it is more as its a european car though is that price at dealership i think in the uk they do fixed price cambelts not sure in canada though

Ya, I go to a guy that deals with BMW VW Audi, He's pretty good to me.
He said $800 bucks for the timing belt, but I have to get the oil changed as well.
Plus factor in the tax. I could pay cash with no tax, but I just don't have it.
I'm not sure if he's including the water pump.
His rate is about $90 an hour, were as my Audi dealership is more like $120 an hour.
Every little bit of savings helps.

Get the water pump done too they are known to fail mine went at 80k i was lucky i noticed a drip underneath the car if it goes it can take your engine out its not worth the risk for a £30 part a good garage will either do this anyway or at least advise it. We wont do a cam belt that doesnt get new idlers tensioner and waterpump its not worth the risk.
    Good luck with it

No problem prevention is better (and a lot cheaper) than the cure.
