    Hi All,

I've taken the MAF (AMM) out of my 2000 1.9TDi, and there isn't a wire on the back of it. The contacts are there, and the routing diagram, but the space is empty.

Is the wire *always* meant to be there, or do certain models not have it?

    Thanks

For anyone else finding this post with the same concern: apparently the wire is for the IAT resistor on gas/petrol models, and isn't required for TDi's. The IAT on the TDi is after the intercooler. I haven't looked, but I'm guessing the IAT will be on the air pipe that runs across the bulk head at the top rear of the TDi engine.
