Audio cuts out when opening boot

Hi Guys

my music keeps cutting out when I open my boot.

Its a really weird problem, when I open my boot, and fiddle with the cable marked with a red illustrated in the picture below, I can hear the music cut in and out.

when I close the boot lid fully, it will cut out. When I open it fully, it will come back on again.

I have tried to follow the cable by removing the inner panels in the boot, but it seems the problem is closer to the cable which runs into the boot lid.

Please can anyone help, or guide me on what I should do.

I would think you have a broken wire in that part of the loom
