Is the coolant level dropping too? Is there much leaking out? Atmospheric water vapour could also be condensing on Air con pipes and dripping to the ground if your A/C is or had just been running.

Good luck tracking it down, Frank.

Check its not coming from your expansion tank overflow as it will land in the oil filter area if so you need to check it out asap as it may be pressurising the water system which could be a stuck thermostat or fan not working or the impellor broke off the waterpump .or many other things is the water nice and pink or is it rusty brown?

Stick your hand under the expansion tank to make sure its not the overflow it will be wet if it is the overflow hole is directly under the lid. How much water is it using?does it only drip when running DO NOT USE RADWELD type products to stop it or you may cause more damage than good Also is your water level above max?

No worries Cambelt is an easy job on 1.8 turbo change your waterpump at same time as they fail a lot.

This may sound strange but a quick tip that we use to use in racing.

If you have a water leak and miles from home just empty a tea bag into your water tank. This will seal the hole for a short time and will allow you to get home without keep topping up.

And when your draining the system it's easy to remove by just putting the hose pipe in the tank and taking off the drain bolt.

This is not a long term fix just something to get you home. I've also heard about the egg one but never used it. As i think egg would be very hard to remove from the engine once it's cooked :s
