    Hi,
Thanks for that website its perfect lots of Rep for you.
I have a question for anyone
My key splits into 2 parts
Part 1 The key fob with 2 buttons
    Part 2 The Flip blade
My question is do both parts have a transponder chip in them and need programming separately?
    Regards
    Mat

Not sure where they are in the fob but you have the radio system to operate the locks which needs synchronising to the car, and a transponder for the immobiliser which needs coding to the car with a computer. The locks can be synchronised by the owner (see the handbook or lots of posts on here) but the immobiliser coding is a specialist job for an auto locksmith or garage. It's possible to have the locks synchronised and working but the immobiliser not coded; what happens then is the engine will start but cuts out after about 30 seconds.
