    hi there all, will the free version of vag com turn the ariel from active to passive or do i need to get a license to do it ...

    I have poor reception from my radio. Only after I changed the standard one for an afetrmarket unit. Do you know if there is an aerial amplifier anywhere and if the live for it is from the back of the radio?

    Also what is the purpose of turning the aeiral to passive?

    it turn's the arieal amp off eg passive on eg active...
    might give it a go and see what happens

    if it is like the 99 passat it is at the base of the arieal, which means taking the headlining down
