    Hi

maybe a silly question but grew up on top trumps!

I know what bhp/llb ft increases can be achieved by remap on v6 3.0 tdi however, what are the real differences to performance..

    i.e. 0-60 30-50, 50-80 etc etc

does anyone have any comparisons of the factory numbers vs remap

    thanks

No idea of 30-50 times etc but you should be able to knock nearly 2 sec's off 0-60 times, your in gear times will be shortened by a good bit too...

nearly 2 seconds off 0 to 60 ?? that would take it to a 5.5 second 0 to 60 time, surely thats a bit unlikely. What are the extra hp and torque figures with a chip?

Theres no way that 30-35 bhp is going to take nearly 2 seconds off the 0-60 time, no way at all!

    Agreed.

I just got my 2.0 TFsi Quattro Sline SE remapped.
Standard power is 216bhp and 300Nm of torque. After remap I have approx 250bhp and 380Nm of torque.
My car is faster but there is no way on earth the 0-60 time has dropped from the standard 6.7 to under 5sec. Absolutely no chance is the car THAT fast.

My figures are close to the S3 now.....not quite as high but nearly.....and that car is over 100kg lighter.......and it books the 0-60 at 5.5secs.

I think sr-performance is being very optimistic or very naughty with the figures.
Unless of course the figures are correct and the remap pushes the engine beyond safe limits.

I'm not sure what increase figures are but two seconds off the 0 - 60 does seem quite high although you should be able to achieve 0 - 60 in about 6 secs. Don't forget the immense torque of the bog-standard A4 3.0TDi, already rated at 450Nm but when remapped will be around 520Nm! That is amazing pulling power coupled with the quattro drive. Don't worry too much about figures the car shifts like lightning and few will match it at the traffic light Grand Prix and mid-range punch on motorways will leave most cars trailing in its wake.

On a car the size of the Q7, probably 0.5 seconds at best on the 0-60, but in-gear acceleration such as 30-50 and 50-80 will decrease quite dramatically. It's difficult to say, but it would be nice to take a remapped car on exactly the same test that the manufacturers have to have done, just to highlight the real differences.

With respect, a Q7 is a big lump of a vehicle compared to an A4 3.0tdi. I cannot see the relationship here.

Hmm, it was late, and I read B7 incorrectly thinking it was Q7. My apologies!
