    Hi

Does anybody have the problem where the rubber textured coating on the grab handles of a mk3 - 3.5 golf/Cabrio is starting to peel off.

They all do it, Golf 4 the lot. You can buy it as a spray from Folia Tec.

I had the same problem too, i used sand paper and wet and dry to take rubber coating off and then spray painted then matt black.

Did take a lot of sanding but at least now i don't have this problem any more.

I went to a WV garage and ordered new handles. They cost something like £12 each and saved me a lot of time. Made a huge difference to the feel of the interior (although to be fair, mine's in very good nick for a 10 year old car, so it was well worth it). Just make sure you get the right ones that match your equipment - electric windows / mirrors etc - as there are several different types.
