This has been an irritation for years.

What is the best way to deal with this? Sometimes I blast the air and it goes. Sometimes I turn the air off.

It sounds like a moving part (a small fan) so a bit of WD40 might help but Where should I spray it?

I tried that trick many moons ago on my old BMW. BIG MISTAKE! Could not get rid of the smell of the WD40 for months!! Best bet is to get the Haynes out and tackle the little fan inside the main center vent area. If you can get to it, a little smear of grease on the fan spindle should do the trick.
    Good Luck.

If it ain't broke, keep fiddling 'til it is!
