    Default Audi A4 1.9 tdi engine oil – 27-05-2007,05:21 PM
    Hi
    can anyone tell me please what type of engine oil to put in my Audi A4 1.9 tdi on a 52 plate. I have been told by my local garage not to mix synthetic oil and semi-synthetic oil but told else where that its ok if one of the oils is less than a litre, also should the oil be 5w30, 0w40 or 10w40 or whatever other type it maybe.Any help greatly appreciated.

    You MUST use oil to the VW specification 505.01 or 506.01 or 507.
    You will find a list of oils by googling these specifications or looking at oils in Halfords or visiting GSF
    Passat Estate 2002 PD130
    Passat 1.8SE 1998
