I'm looking at upgrading my standard alloys and was wondering what size alloys to get i was thinking 19" what mods would i need to do to fit 19's to my 2.0 TDi S-line? Was thinking of some alloys maybe along the lines of 235/35R19 on front and maybe 265/30R19 on the back would there be a problem of putting these fitments on the car?

I was in the same boat as you last week. I did'nt know whether to go for 18" or 19", went to the shop and they had a demo wheel in both sizes to put next to the car, the 19 looked far too big, and would have raised the car up, but they would have looked mega if the car had the RS4 arches and had been lowered (not that im into modifying cars) but if you don't want the hassle then go for the 18", mine looks spot on.

I changed to 19" and there were no mods needed.

Only thing to note is the offset as you can get a few.
Try and got for a 35 offset they look nice.

If you lot want some pics let me know

My ex lived in Leicester and I ALWAYS use to get pulled over there on my old cars, never had a problem down here though.

I don't have them as dark as I use to now though (must be getting old), never had an issue in the B7... I normally get them tinted by Liam in Leicester do you know him?

I don't agree with the law that it makes an impact on visibility... It's just rubbish if your a good driver tints will NEVER cause you an issue even in the dark.

You are less likley to get your car broken into, no one can see anything left inside and the glare from idiots who leave their main beams on is not there
