    Ok ive been looking for a PDF OR ( HOW TO ) remove front suspension on a MK4 GOLF TDI YEAR 2000. All im looking at doing is fitting new Top Mounts and Bearing but not sure if there is just the one nut holding everything? and is there any Torque setting?

    theres 2 nuts. i have done mine twice now.. just open bonnet crack the top mount nut this holds the "cup" on and stops shock coming out, then jack car up remove wheel take out 18mm bolt and nut then use a hammer and persuade it away from the hub then it should all drop out cant go wroung really.. i would recommend taking anti roll bar off the wishbone it just unbolts gives you bit of extra room to get the shock out.. then once its out the rubber top mount just comes off then get some spring clamps to take tension of the springs undo the nut think its 21mm then the bearing will come out and just put new one in and jobs a good en, i just a say nipped mine wouldnt worry to much about torque settings.. then its just the reveral to put back together. regards tom
