    Hi every1
    Just looking for a bit of advice on how easy or hard a cv boot is to replace as both have split and have failed on the mot.
    The cv joints are fine but just need to replace the cv boots any help would be great cheers peeps.

    no need to undo inner joint though just do it in place
    if youve never had pinch bolt off before you will probably end up destroying it getting it out so get a new one before you start and grease with coppaslip when you refit
    you also need a 14mm heavy duty hex bit and long breaker bar to undo hub bolt

    Hi i was going to have a crack at the cv boot today to realise that the hub nut isent a 14mm hex bolt.
    does any1 know wat size it is,and its not a hex bolt.
    cheers any help would be great cheers.

    o.e need a 14mm allen/hex key not socket to remove them
    ive seen replacements with 17mm socket heads ?

    it must be a replacement then as its deffo a socket head on it.but ive tryed a 23 mm on it and its still to small not bye much it aint but still to small.
