    Hi There,

i recently purchased a replacement leather gaitor from Ebay for my passat. Sadly it came without fitting instructions! (what did i expect for a tenner?!?!) anyway, just wondered if anyone out there knew how to get the old piece of fabric off and the new one on. Cheers Feegs

no probs, where it says to staple the gaiter on or use wire ,i used araldite super strength glue which bonds really quick.went on no problem at all, actually took more time to get the effin' thing off!! used a metal cable tie to replace the clamp holding the gearknob assembly too.anyways,it is a grand job,and i only paid a tenner for mine too!!! god bless ebay

I bought a genuine one from the local dealer, cost around £20, but came complete with a new gear knob, and was fitted in less than a minute, no messing around trying to stick leather etc.................. yuk!!
