Hi i have bad wobble on the steering wheel up to about 40mph then it gets less and is just slight vibration. I have had wheels balanced and suspension, power steering checked and the mechanic said he could not find anything wrong . Any ideas? A friend mentioned drive shafts?
    It is a 2001 T4 with 104k

Has anyone looked at the tyres ? Jack up and spin wheels and look for any tread deformation on all the wheels.Quite common to get a faulty tyre.

Had tyres checked and were seen to be ok. But will look again.

Has a balance weight come off ?, check both sides of front rims, a tell tail sign might be a clean spot where the weight was.
Check wheel bearings for play also,

If it is not a front wheel drive vehicle i doubt it will be driveshafts as they dont have them, they have propshaft from gearbox to rear axle
