    Default Texaco Havoline 5W-30 oil – 02-04-2010,06:26 PM
    Just to let everyone know that Morrison's petrol stations currently have Texaco Havoline 5W-30 oil for 3.99GBP per litre. I got the fully synthetic long-life G grade which I think I'm correct in saying is the right stuff for topping up the 2.0TDI.

    If it doesn't have the relevant VW spec ( VW 507 ) on the container it isn't suitable.

    ASDA are selling 5L of Mobil #1 5W-30 VW504/507 spec oil for £32. This is the cheapest 504/507 spec oil I have ever seen .
    Unfortunately I laid down some Castrol Edge 504/507 oil from Halfords about a month ago so don't need any yet for at least a year. Even with trade card discount Halfords price was £36 for 4L .
