Well a good result for you if you can get this sorted under the cover.

Have to worry whether the company will tighten up on criteria anytime soon though if the water based paint on VW and Honda is typical of the whole market

turns out on my policy bonnet damage is weatherproofed and concealed but they're gonna cover the wing and bumper. If i want the full bonnet doing it's £150 though.

Ermm...what does that actually mean -are they giving you a preventive solution or fix the chips at cost?

There's a scuff on the bumper and a paint chip on the wing which will be properly repaired but for the bonnet they only touch it up and conceal it as they recommend that for bonnet damage the whole bonnet be resprayed.

I got a quote separately to get the whole bonnet sprayed for £150.
