Any one ever been the victim of road rage?
Any one ever given out any road rage to a fellow road user?

Here is a funny example of road rage.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vwxAVZ6fJ4

    What annoys you the most?

    <rantish mode on>

For me - When the driver in front is driving at a speed well below that permissable on the given road when it is perfectly safe to do the limit. e.g. 40 or 50 in a 60 limit.

Another. Queuing to pull out of a junction. You know full well if you were in their car you would of been able to pull out quite safely.

Another. Your tanking along in the fast lane with the flow of traffic as you do (don't say you don't, most have) whan all of a sudden, some motorist decides they want to overtake something in the middle lane too. They pull out and forget what the right pedal does. Suddenly everyone is trying to avoid a accident. Loads of traffic has just shot past them so they know the speed that is currently around them. WHy don't they go with the flow of the traffic?

Another - I was taught to drive by my cousin who was taught by the police and at the time was a traffic policeman. I was taught 30 is 30. 40 is 40 etc etc. If the speed limit is 30 then where poss we'll do 30. same for 40 and so on. Quote "lets not waste time getting there" i.e. acceleration speed - get to the limit as soon as possible where safe to do so.
this gripe is about mororists that have very powerfull cars that take an age to get going. compared to the 1.1 Citroen AX I was in at the time.

Come on the speed limit is 40, you've got the power so use it. Get out the way!!!!!!!

Another - people that in general dawdle, don't seem to be driving with a purpose. Sunday drivers if you will. The kind of people that make good mobile chicanes.

    <rantish mode off>

    Many thanks

I never give it. life's too short to really vent my frustration and I'm a fairly harmonious chap. If something annoys me the worst thing I might do is give a flash of lights or a small toot on the horn. 99 times out of 100 though I just mutter something under my breath and wait for the person to get out the way and go on with my journey.

    Key hates

    1) middle lane hoggers! Grrrr! I often get fairly close (not too close) behind them trying to make the point. If I have to overtake, I will pull across two lanes, indicating, on purpose and "fairly" close to the front of their car

    2) lack of indication in general. usually from vans but can be anyone. Especially on motorways. A little 2 or 3 flash to the right or left when you pull out or back in is all it takes. I notice VERY few indicate left when pulling in on a motorway

    3) bumper chasing in traffic. If traffic is in front of me there's no need to sit up my chuff! I find my smokey diesel exhaust helps here. Put it in 6th and give it a bit of throttle = plenty of smoke. Makes the point. Same applies when in 30/40 limits going into 60. I'll start going to 60 when I get to the sign thanks, back off my ar5e!

    4) chavs! boy racers. I'm often accused of being one, but I'm just a car enthusiast with a passion for motoring. I like to think I'm good at driving. But the spotty OIK in his VTR paxo seems to be the opposite of this. have seen plenty of dangerous driving from the younger generation!

    5) police. Yes they have a job to do, but they slow me down. (PS: this isn't a real one)
Jason - Rather mad Skoda Fabia driver.... Odd whiff of diesel coming from him.

I have to agree with you there,I know a few people who get really wound up on the roads,I really cant see what all the fuss is about i have to say it takes a long time for me to lose it anyway but i dont see the point in going mental and getting involved in high speed pursuits just because some donkey didint indicate?if another driver hits you and trys to do the off thats another matter,Iwould say you are well within your rights to sink the boot and kick some ***,I would say a flash of the lights is enough,I say all this with taxi drivers not included of course,I HATE TAXI DRIVERS ARHHHHHHH!!!!!!! GOD HELP THE NEXT TAXI DRIVING RAT THAT CROSSES MY VW BADGE!!!!!

Ps.I genuinly never thought i would agree with a skoda driver lol!! (joke)

only one thing really that does me...

    UNDERTAKING!!!

Put it this way... if i see you under taking i will give you a piece of my mind!!

    OR..

idiots driving in the second lane at 30 mph when theres a bus lane 7am to 10am and its 5pm!!!! that get my back up..

    ....................

So.. apart from that... nothing... LOL!! YOU HAVE GOT ME STARTED NOW!!!

    One thing to add....

People who sit on the outside lane of a motorway at 70MPH and think there respecting the law and wont move above.... when theres nothing in the middle lane!! (these type of people think.. the speed limit is 70MPH... YOU should not go any faster and they think there helping things... when in fact it is not there problem how fast you drive within reason.

Idoits that undertake on the motorway!!!!!!! i really hate these people!! its just crazy!!! if any of you are an undertaker... shame on you!! (excluding undertaker's ie...funeral !!!)

People that set off driving on a ice cold day with just a little port hole to look out of!

People that set off driving with all the windows misted up and are drivng at 20 mph because they cant see!!!

Idoits that dont understand the term.. "MERGE IN TURN" and try not to let you in if there in the left hand lane!!

    BMW driviers dont use indicators....

    Wrongly adjusted headlights!!!

Crappy GREEN LED's as Side lights!!

Neon lights under a car...... its not the states 20 years ago...

i think that may be all for today.... i will let you know if anything gets to me today!! LOL!!

Apart from the above... nothing bothers me!

    Cheers

One point to add to this.... you see these people that let their kids run free in the back... if you check.. i would say 8/10 times the driver has "THEIR" seatbelt on.!!! how does that work??

i have to say sorry first...

i will set behind them at 70 mph.. to see if they move over... if they dont after a mile or two... put the pressure on them... if still not moved over... quick few flashes of the full beam.... (ps.. not trying to force past)...

and if the worse ever did come to the worse of a clear motorway.. slowly move into the middle lane.. then first lane. (depending on width) and under take... only in the extreme circumastances..

I DO hate people that think... "im doing 70MPH.. thats the speed limit.. i will stay in this lane...

The fact is.. they may think they are doing right... but in fact it casues risk to other people as their attidute is wrong to start with... if you going to be a safe driver move other when a lane is free as per the highway code..

ps.. i once had to get out of the car in a "MERGE IN TURN" area where the guy would not left me in... the fact is i went to the metal as he was in the wrong... once he got out of his car running towards me and it was time to play ball... - i got out and he soon jumped into his old crap escort and drove out onto the roundabout casuing a HGV to serve just missing him... we are talking iches from an impact... --- for some reason i didnt think it would of been a bad thing...

MERGE IN TURN... means one thing..... MERGE IN TURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
