heating and a/c problems

hi,can anybody help?bought a 2005 audi a6 not long ago,
when the heating is turned to low,it blows hot air,
diagnostics cant find any fault.

have you had the air con gas re-charged ?

dont think its the gas as it blows cold air on one side and hot on the other.
will still get it checked.thanks

I had the same issue - turned out to be the heater valve as posted by singhl

I have same problem, what sort of cost can I expect from the dealership?

I can't remember the exact cost to be honest as I had some other work done at the same time. Off the top of my head it was around £185 for the valve and £90 for fitting. But I could be wrong....

Cheers for that guys, useful to know. Went to my local (and trusted) garage armed with the report above, booked in for tomorrow....Will let you know how I get on.

Got the car back today and its good as new. Valve was removed connections cleaned, valve cleaned and re-installed. Certainly worth pushing your garage to give it a clean rather than replacing the whole unit..... Cost for all this was just £47.
