    Default S4 air filter – 25-05-2007,04:30 PM
    Hi, I have just bought a 1999 S4 2.7 Bi-turbo quattro saloon. The car is totally standard with no mods. I am looking to replace the air filter for a performance one with a nice sound.

    Can anyone recommend anything.

    Leave it stock as it performce better than any open air filter.

    If I was you I would have a healthcheck done for the usual turbo killers... boost leaks, MAF, Diverter valves etc.

    Dont mean to alarm you, but unless you have had these sorted by a 2.7T specialist you will be paying out big money in no time at all.

    MAF is guaranteed to be shot if it has not been replaced, same with the DV's. Possible you have a boost leak, this is not good for turbo life and deffo one of the most important things to watch on these cars.
