Just bought the car of my dreams, 2007 3.0 a4 quattro b7 and its turning into a nightmare,

if you check my previous post on towbars you will see there was an issue with towing a caravan with the 3.0 quattro from the introduction of the 2008 b8 model to week 22 of that year in which the car would need £3000 worth of upgrades to stop it overheating this included the towbar.

As you can see i went back a year in order not to fall for them perticular cars,

it has since come to my attention via audi cardiff that this b7 may have to have the same upgrade.

Basically do any of these 3.0 quattro's both the b7 and b8 have the ability to pull a family size caravan without the customer spending a small fortune on doing what the brochere says it will do.

Is there any forum member who owns the b7 3.0 quattro out there who has purchased an aftermarket tow bar fitted by a third party, who has not had any of the above remedial work carried out by audi, this will include an upgrade fan and cowling, an upgraded alternator and some additional wiring to the rear,

if so have you suffered any overheating problems,
have you suffered any electrical problems.

many thanks
john
