    hello i got my car read as the emissions light came on and the iddle has started to hunt between 850 and 875 say the rev counter only just moves a little bit when sat at idle

    these were the codes

    help as i have no idea what they mean

    i have tried a new lambda sensor and has not worked

    Dint know you have already had a new O2 sensor fitted.
    Could be the wiring?

    yes i needed a new exhaust fitting and my mate said he fitted a new one as the old one had melted the coating on the wires or something so fitted new

    i called him on the way home see if he could think of anything

    Did he fit the correct one?
    maybe the wires have been melted again?
    causing the fault i found

    i would think he did as he said the other one was fine there is some braket holding the wires up and that had broken so i have got him to rought them unber the heat shield so they can not get melted he said he will check tomorrow for me to se but does not think they have also there were 2 other codes

    but any thoughts would help

    The first 2 codes will be related, the third is a seperate fault.

    I wouldn't be so sure that the last fault is unrelated as if this flap is jammed it could well screw up the mixture and give some odd lambda readings. I would have all the vacuum pipes etc near this checked for leaks and look at the valve and the sensor on it too. You could try jamming it each way to see if the fault disappears at tickover?
