Missfiring 2.0 ALT

Our 2001 2.0 ALT engine recently was giving a slight cough under load, i changed all the spark plugs but it still had this slight cough under load. today the car misfired badly and threw up codes:

2 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
16685 - Cylinder 1: Misfire Detected
P0301 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded

So i believe i will be looking at replacing the coil pack and was planning to swap it to a different cylinder to prove there is a faulty one, but (basic question coming up) which is cylinder 1? Closest to cambelt or at the rear of engine bay??

how much does a coil pack generally cost?

any advice greatly appreciated

Many thanks, i found out with some trial and error, turns out a defective coil pack as thought,

should cost about £30 ish each dont fit non genuine as can be more trouble than its worth if we get a car in down on one we usually advise change all coil packs and plugs then they dont have to be touched again till next plug change as usually when one goes another is just waiting to expire not sure why they do but they seem to
