    Hi Guys,

I'm just in the process of changing company cars, and I'm opting for a 2.0 Tdie SE in order to hit the 13% BIK band.

As a family man, with young kids, one of the options that I am thinking of is the Milano Leather seats. However, I'd apprecite your opinions on the pro's and cons of getting the leather as an option on 'standard' or 'sports' seats. What are the standard seats like? are they armchair like and sloppy or are they quite supportive?

Also what are the sports seats like?

I would be interested to hear any opinions, or experiences cheers?

    Many thanks,

    Andy

The standard seats give adequate support unless you're cornering very hard. I have no experience of the sports seats. Might be worth a trip to the dealer to try them out.

Leather seats + kids are good because they're easyier to wipe puke & spilled drinks off than fabric ones. Some child seats leave a dent in the leather but that will probably not worry you if it's a company car :-)

I went for the sports seats. I think they have much better lateral support, and are more comfortable. I also dont like the cloth on the standard seats. Looks a bit naff

The looks and comfort of the sports seats are good and unless you have a huge posterior (or co-driver!) they are "fit for purpose!" ie. Firm but supportive.

Would advise a test drive though as the Drivers right hand seat bolster CAN tend to cause a pain because of pedal offset (but it is not an issue for most people).

    Alcantara looks V Good.

I've got Milano sport seats...... love them. As said before, the right hand side bolster can dig in a bit, but after a short time, this will soften........ unless you are, ..........how can I say, large!

Had an SE while mine was in for service, nice...... but the seats just didn't support me and after a short time I was getting uncomfortable.

Longest trip was 250 miles nonstop....... no issues.

    Sports seats with Milano everytime.

Love the standard S-Line seats with half leather, half alcantara, superbly comfortable for me (I'm kinda average size), they are firm but that's not a bad thing, good lateral support, adjustable in every direction and variable rake under your thigh. Longest journey to date 450 miles and regularly do 200+ with no aches or pains, they work for me. I haven't tried the sports seats though, would be worth a look.......................

Hi Legs, i was under the impression that sports-seats were the s-line?

The S4 has the supersport (rip your spine out) as an option.

I like the super sports seats

and my spine is fully intact (well, apart from the injuries caused by squash, sitting 8 hours a day in front of a computer, running, climbing, skiing, falling down whilst doing any of the above........ )

Yes Bratty, that sounds about right, I tested an S-Line Exec with the leather/alcantara combo and liked the seats so much I just said to the dealer "just confirm I've ordered the same as that" without checking what they actually were!

Get them then, they're great, my only "watch out" would be with young kids, I'm not sure how the alcantara will clean up, small white holes to allow "breathing" look like a nightmare to clean sticky juice and sweets from?

    Good luck

If at the End Off the Day!! if the bolster is irritating your thigh because of the offset (RHD Cars) then Cross-your legs whilst driving using your right foot for clutch and left for accelerator. No Problem.
