I have the same problem, judder at 2,8k rpm and gone by 3,4k rpm. The problem was much worse over winter. Now the weather has warmed up its not as bad.

Still feels down on power over 3k rpm. I'm wondering if its the MAF sensor, EGR valve or an injector on the way out.

Its been doing it for the last five months, so I'm going to live with it unless a warning lights comes on.

It doesn't matter how many vag code reads you have if the tech only looks for fault codes. They need to look at the actual performance of the sensors and outputs. Good chance one of the injectors is not working correctly.

I'd start with a fuel temp sensor myself, £15ish @gsf, and a good quality injector cleaner in half a tank with some enthusiastic foot action, new air filter and check the hoses that connect to it for leaks, assuming the airbox has hoses going to it, these can cut the turbo out if disconnected, after that I can't quite think what to suggest other than as mentioned a MAF and possibly a coolant temp sensor.

it is now repaired ,new seals on injectors replaced the injector bolts ,and hey presto the car works perfect no juddering or loss of power ,the mechanic said the bolts had stretched and was not clamping the injector tight ,

well between the old bolts and new bolts was between 8 to 10 mm difference ,no wonder they was not holding the injectors tight ,replaced bolts at about £2 .50 each ,and worked a treat

8 to 10 mm! How long were the bolts originally? Stretching like that is hard to believe - or were the original bolts too long to begin with?

Perhaps the numbers got lost in translation. Stretch bolts stretch in the region of tenths of a millimetre
