What you do is remove the CAN H & CAN L wires from positions 7 & 8 of connector G.
The two removed wires should be inserted into connector 14 which is then plugged into male connector 15.
The two free CAN wires in the towbar loom are then inserted into positions 7 & 8 of connector G.

    I hope that helps.

    Jim.

No, I don't see what is causing your confusion.

Maybe the diagram below will help. The two sets of CAN wires in the towbar loom are linked at the towbar module connector. The CAN signals go down the two CAN wires that are inserted into connector G (RED ARROWS) and come back up the other two CAN wires that are connected via 14/15 to the car wiring loom (BLUE ARROWS).

OK, I think I understand your problem now. The 2 become 4 inside the loom. The 2 orange/brown wires are spliced together and the 2 orange/green wires are spliced together.

You don't really need the 4 wires though. All you need to do is splice the two CAN wires coming from the red connector on the towbar ECU into the original CAN wires on connector G.

If your making your own cable though be aware that CAN wires are a twisted pair...see below. Using straight wires over any significant length on a CAN network can corrupt the data being passed between control units, causing a huge headache for the person who is trying to diagnose all the faults the corruption might cause.

Yes, the diagram shows the 2 CAN wires from the towbar ECU spliced onto the original CAN wires at connector G. That's all you need to do.
