Touran indicator bulb wiring

My sisters 2006 touran p/s/f indicator bulb stopped working.
I replaced the bulb, the bulb holder but still nothing its not getting power to the headlight for a indicator.
The side and rear indicators are still working..
Anyone had anything similar?
Anyone know where i can get a wiring diagram for this?

Not had any problems with the Touran, but I have had a couple of Polos with the pins coming adrift from the connector inside the headlamp.

The indicator lamps are supplied power individually by the power supply ECU. That's how the dash display can tell you exactly what bulb it is that has failed if your model has the multifunction display.

The N/S/F bulb is powered via a black/white wire that you should find on the 10 pin connector at the headlamp. The problem is when the power supply ECU detects a bulb (or circuit) failure, it shuts off the power to that bulb.
For that reason you have to be careful when testing the circuit.

I think the best way to test your circuit, and I don't know how easy this will be on a Touran, is to first check the continuity of the wiring inside the headlamp. You would need to disconnect the plug off the headlamp and locate the pin on the lamp that the black/white wire connects to (pin 9). Connect an ohmmeter between that pin (on the back of the lamp) and the two contacts that the indicator bulb holder connects to (one at a time) and see if you are getting continuity.
If that checks OK, you'll need to do the same test on the return (earth) circuit. Locate the pin on the lamp that the brown wire connects to. Be careful here because there are two browns. You want pin 7. Now connect the ohmmeter between there and the two bulb holder contacts. If that checks OK, measuse the resistance across the actual bulb holder itself (with the bulb in it, of course). If that check OK then it must be the wiring between the headlamp connector and the power supply ECU. I can give you details of how to check that, but you've probably already decided to take the car to an auto electrician and let them sort it.

Hi, me again.

It's hard to know the best way to test something when you haven't seen it. I had a look at a Touran today and testing as described above could be difficult because the indicator bulb is below the main headlamp bulb housing and not really accessable.
I noticed that the black/white wire is at the top of the headlamp connector and easy to get at, so to test the internal wiring within the lamp I'd get a pin/needle and pierce the insulation of the black/white wire. Leave the pin sticking out. Now get a length of wire and connect it between the pin and the positive post of the battery. If the indicator lamp lights, then your problem lies either with the power supply ECU or the wiring between it and the headlamp.

The power supply ECU is behind the dash on the O/S. It's a black box with 8 multiplugs on the bottom of it. Each multiplug position is marked with a letter (A-H). You'll find the N/S/F indicator wire on connector D - pin 11 (black/white wire on the outside edge of the connector). Get your pin and push it into the back of the terminal with the black/white wire. Now connect your length of wire between the pin and a battery positive. You'll find a positive on the fusebox or the red wire on the headlamp switch. If your indicator lamp lights then it looks like the ECU is faulty. If not then there is a break in the wire between the ECU and the headlamp.
